SABER Update: New Ministry-Attested Declarations Required for Certain Products

SASO has issued an updated circular introducing additional requirements for Shipment Certificates (SCoCs) on the SABER platform.

Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources (MIM) Attested Declarations Required: Certain products now require a declaration approved by MIM before a Shipment Certificate can be issued.

Newly Affected Products & HS Codes:

• 730890909999 – Other parts of structures of iron or steel; plates, rods

• 721061000000 – Flat iron or steel products coated with aluminum-zinc alloy

• 730840000002 – Equipment for scaffolding (iron/steel)

• 854470000000 – Optical fiber cables

• 730890900007 – Special bridge products/parts (iron/steel)

• 730890200003 – Large shelving units for warehouses

• 730890400001 – Scaffolding structures and parts (iron/steel)

• 730890200001 – Large shelving units for shops

• 730840000001 – Supports/braces for structures (iron/steel)

• 760110000000 – Aluminum, not alloyed

• 721011000001 – Flat-rolled iron products, ground, width ≥600 mm & thickness ≥0.5 mm

What Importers Need to Do:

1. Complete a declaration for each shipment of the listed products.

2. Submit it to [email protected] for approval.

3. Provide a copy of the approved declaration with the QR code when requesting the Shipment Certificate.

Important: Shipment Certificates cannot be issued without the approved declaration.
