Turkey: WTO Safeguards Investigation - Other Paper and Paperboard
Turkey launched a WTO safeguard probe on paper and paperboard on 31 Dec 2025; notified 6 Jan 2026, covering all origins, with possible duties or quotas.
On 6 January 2026, Turkey notified the World Trade Organization (WTO) of the initiation of a safeguard investigation under the WTO Agreement on Safeguards, in accordance with Article 12.1(a). The notification is issued under reference G/SG/N/6/TUR/33.

The investigation covers imports of other paper and paperboard, classified under relevant tariff headings. The measure applies on a non-discriminatory basis to imports from all WTO Members, unless exemptions are later granted in line with WTO rules.
