Chemical Engineer (Conformity)
Lead technical review and conformity assessment for chemical products across global regulatory frameworks, with focus on SASO SABER certification and international compliance standards.
Responsibilities
Conduct technical review for SASO SABER Certification process for chemical related products, ensuring adherence to all relevant technical regulations and standards
Perform thorough conformity assessments of chemical related products, evaluating product specifications and test reports to verify compliance with SASO and other international requirements
Prepare and submit comprehensive documentation for certifications, including technical files, test reports, and other necessary paperwork
Work closely with internal teams, external laboratories, and certification bodies to facilitate the certification process and resolve any compliance issues
Stay current with the latest developments in SASO regulations and international standards related to chemical products, and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance
Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards in product conformity and compliance
Effectively communicate with stakeholders, both internal and external, providing updates on certification progress, addressing queries, and ensuring a smooth certification process
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years experience in SASO SABER Certification for chemical related products (detergents, food contact materials, footwear, textiles, glue and adhesives, RoHS, leather products, lubricating oils, packaging, paints, paper and cardboard, etc.)
In-depth knowledge of SASO regulations, standards, and certification processes according to ISO/IEC 17065
Strong understanding of chemical product specifications and testing procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
