Technical Regulation Scope
This technical regulation applies to all textile products imported or manufactured for the Saudi Arabian market, including:
- Ready-made garments and clothing
- Home textiles (bedding, curtains, towels)
- Carpets and rugs
- Upholstery fabrics
- Technical textiles
- Textile accessories
The regulation covers both natural and synthetic fibers, as well as blended materials.
Labelling Requirements for Textile Products
Fiber Content Labeling
- Accurate declaration of fiber composition by percentage
Care Instructions
- Mandatory care symbols according to ISO 3758
- Written care instructions in Arabic
- Permanent labeling that remains legible throughout product life
Country of Origin
- Clear indication of manufacturing country
- "Made in [Country]" in both Arabic and English
- Must be on a permanent label
Size Labeling
- Size designation according to relevant standards
- Body measurements for garments
- Dimensions for home textiles
